You're relocating to North Texas for military PCS. Where should you start?

Start with your timeline, and plan backward from your report date. Depending on your job situation and how prepared you are, we'll work out whether renting or buying makes more sense for you, so you don't waste time or money. Then talk to a lender about pre-approval, and tell me what matters about your commute and the home you need. From there I'll set up video tours or a house-hunting trip and keep your closing date lined up with your move. Back planning is the most reliable technique I know, and as a former strategic planner, it's how I work. For VA-specific steps, see the Military & Veterans answers on this page.
